るろうに剣心/ Rurouni Kenshin (2012) Teaser Trailer

http://youtu.be/ObdlLp7gkYA
Ororororo! I am so excited *fans myself hastily with big abanico fan*
Live action movie adaptation of my favoritest Bakamatsu hitokiri (assassin/manslayer)!

The teaser looks way cool (am getting goosebumps), and I fervently hope they don't disappoint the still-here fans (*cough, cough* like me) who have been faithfully loyal to this series - from the manga (Watsuki-sama, mwaah!), to the anime, to the movie and even the OAVs even if one sucked big-time like a badly written fanfiction...*heats up*

Anyways... *sigh* I hope I can see this somewhere on the internet coz its fat chance it will show in our theaters...

  4. weirdly, stuff like that hardly gets here...

though I've got to say (looks left and right) the pirated copies of the anime, movie and oavs have been in supply here for some time, but thats because RK has been here for a long time already...its anime series I've seen probably around 3 times already on tv...the movie too..but not so much the OAV...

anyway, good luck to us! haha!

  6. its coz may friends din kc po ako na mahilig sa anime and manga :-)

and..who remember the good old days of watching Ruruoni Kenshin (but more known as Samurai X) on tv

if you can get hold of the first OAV (or OVA, same thing) - Rurouni Kenshin: Trust & Betrayal, known in Japan as Rurouni Kenshin: Tsuiokuhen (追憶編, Recollection or Reminiscence) - yung history ni Kenshin mismo sa Bakumatsu, where he was a young hitokiri (manslayer)

mas may drama (but its animated) kaysa yung ikalawa na OVA na ending na nila ni Kaoru (yung naging wife nya)..otherwise, e antayin natin ang live action :-)

I have no idea if it will touch on the manga, the animation series done again or even a new storyline with new villain etc. Wish naming mga RK fans is to have the Jinchuu Arc (which we call the Revenge Arc) to be animated sana coz only parts of the whole manga series was done...

    for Jap films -
I've seen almost of all of Akira Kurosawa's film way back pa...kaya am a big big fan of Jap films even before (but I do not like their horror films)....

  12. Sir Ver, thank you..but I've already seen and loved most of his movies from Rashomon (1950s) upwards to Yojimbo, Throne of Blood, Red Beard, Ran etc.

Of course, unang una sa was the marvelous Seven Samurai (hey, reminds me of the anime too, though its a diferent story and called Samurai Seven)....I also like Toshirō Mifune

Yung copy ko of Rashomon was one thing I replayed over and over (unfortunately I think it got misplaced after my AIM days where instead of studying, I was watching dvds hehehe) ....
... it contained a section wherein they explained the camera work behind it - lighting and how it was planned out to help tell the story - probably why it made Rashomon one of my favorites although di sya as "epic" ang dating as Ran...
