  1. never let it be said I don't market our products even though I am not part of the group :-)

but...in case may repairs or warranty, please don't ask me..hehehe...I've never tried calling the HP Help Desk for any problems with the laptop I've bought

  2. Being connected w/ the company, do you get something like an "employee discount?"

  3. we have offers intermittently emailed to us which has employee discount ...but for specific items...its a bit different yata ang setup dito sa Pinas for us Phil-based employees...:-(

but you know, its disappointing..for example some years ago, HP cameras were offered sa US, pero sa Pinas, wala...
and I was hoping for the tablet that HP has, pero you know how that panned out *sad*

  4. How much is a new laptop - a decent one for my nieces and nephew's homework?

  5. ah Tita Lou, its a bit difficult for me to tell you that because that would depend on the configuration..memory, hard disk cpu etc.

Am not really a "technical" person, but I'd recommend get a higher memory as much as possible, that way your system won't crawl especially with all these operating systems consuming much of the memory.

Also nowadays am not sure about people's homework...in my time, we had to make programs so it wasn't enough to just have a computer capable of running word processing :-)

it also depends on the brand...kuha na lang kayo ng Mac (hahaha..halatang gusto makatikim ng Macintosh *wink*) gosh..I better delete this comment...hahaha..

but seriously if may multimedia work naman, Mac is what I have always heard to be good..depende talaga sa preferences ng tao

  6. Naku good thing the kids are not into media yet. Facebook lang. But I agree, I lost my patience with their computers when I was home kasi ang babagal - slow like snails.

  7. ah if FB ang mga social networking plus word processing ...kaya naman lower configuration....but I did notice a long time ago, that Windows na OS consumes much memory (unlike Unix systems)...kaya if I can afford it, I always try to go for higher memory...

for hard disk e cheap naman ngayon storage eh...so unless you have a lot of documents I guess the usual configuration they give you is ok, besides, I've always tried to have external backup and don't rely too much on the hard disk inside my laptop...

no need for very high CPU power unless may mga processing going on...
