Sen Lek Thai (SM Makati outlet): "Broth could be a bit better..."

Thanks to Marie's heads-up that this stall also could be found here in Makati City - a blessing because we don't need to travel that far to the Coastal Mall outlet.

(Marie would merrily point out though that at least there, not only is it a convenient excuse for a food trip, but that we must not dismiss the shopping opportunities for cheap but good quality household items and decors *grin*)

Back to the topic at hand...

*sigh*
I am simply sad (I have this very woebegone expression on my face as I write this) to report the broth here is not as good as the one being dished up in Coastal.

The pros:
- seems to be bigger servings and more ingredients (quantity)
- more comfortable seats at the Food Court so you don't fall off your stool
- due to its location in this mall's Food Court, you can have other choices to pair with your pho if you do not enjoy it as much as you would like

The con:
- the broth, while good, does not have the intangible quality of slurpiliciousness that characterizes their offerings in Coastal Mall....

So there you have it - you can do your prioritizing and select which suits you better if you are in the mood for some hot Pho.

In this case, I was at least saved from sobbing over my soup due to the company of Che as we ate before doing some make-up shopping for a shoot the following day :-)
