Pinta Flores Festival

Start:     Nov 3, '10
End:     Nov 5, '10
Location:     San Carlos City, Negros, Philippines
This city in the sugar-producing island of Negros Occidental honors its patron saint, San Carlos Borromeo, with a pageant where participants with floral painted bodies dance in rhythmic beat as they wind through the major streets.

It features street dancing by "tribes" dressed in colorful ethnic-inspired costumes, their bodies painted with flower designs reminiscent of the tattoed Visayans of the Pre Spanish Negros.

  2. According to Marc Nonnenkamp we are the Descendants of St Charles via Kapitan Aro Borromeo, and there is someone in one of our relatives who disputed that claimed.

  8. Being a Saint is not a perfect person or a human without sinned, just remember St Paul persecuted lots of Christians and hide in the Dessert for 20 years and later converted into one of the Greatest follower of Christ, not forgetting St Peter who denied Christ and later established the Rock of Christ where the modern billion Christian followers established way back 2010 years ago.
