Its a daunting task. I've slowly moved some of my blog entries to my site at Wordpress. But then some of the photos link back to albums here in Multiply...I still have hope MP will continue as we knew it..this is just too much work at this point...
at this point its backup...it looks funny for some entries going back to 2007 etc. but I would like to come back to them at some point in the future and edit whatever random thoughts I had at the time..
the only thing I have against Wordpress is that if one has ambitions of earning by driving traffic to it, the hurdles are designed to really discourage you...
oh well never mind. as long as I can park some entries somewhere for now....
same here, i've been moving my photos to DPP(www.digitalphotographer.com.ph)...you do get views to your posts but deadma for comments. seems like there is not much rapport or maybe it's too soon to pass judgement. but to images posted by people i don't know, i leave comments...just as i do here in M.
speaking of Jing, ayon..nasa Google+ din pala sya...pero she is more FB-oriented..
I told her that during the typhoon and floods, I texted her but she did not reply. I wasn't too worried coz i saw her posting steadily in FB...haha...so buhay pa! *grin*
i just post some of my photos there, seems like people with paid accounts get more attention from viewers...photo storing in Flicker is limited unless you pay $25 annually...i don't think so. in that sense, DPP is better, unlimited postings...i notice i've getting a lot of hits but only one comment...nagkakahiyaan siguro...i really don't care for any criticism, good or bad...it's just a photo anyway.
pls add me to your circles (may circle na friend or family..tapos drag and drop nyo lang po ako don).
on the uppermost right-hand corner, I think you can see your name...if you hover over it tapos sabi nya notifications..you will see a list of those who have replied or have posted in your circle...
on the uppermost left hand corner din po..may name nyo po ex. in my case +Catherine...if you click on that pupunta sya sa page nyo sa G+ (nasa line siya Search Images Maps etc.)
i like Google +, i found it easier to make & organize an album...well you can do that in Flicker too, but i find having to pay $25/yr to maintain all your pictures quite difficult to take... DPP can make one feel intimidated, some works i've seen did intimidate me...but as i said it's just a place for me to share & store my pictures. Maybe that's why people don't comment, people may get slighted by what you'd say.

nadinig ko rin before about blogspot :-) di ba yan connected to Google's blogger...or same..?
ReplyDeleteI wonder if from G+ pwede mag connect dyan..hmmm...
Yes, looks like connected/related sa Google ang Blogger.com
ReplyDeleteJust visited ipernity.com. Mukha ngang hawig sa Multiply ang features. Will try it out soon.
ok, I've made a test blog sa blogspot...
ReplyDeletesince I use Google+ it was a matter of just clicking on its Blog Feature and it took me to the same place na Blogspot..hehehe..
catherrera888.blogspot.com
So basically my Wordpress entries can be duplicated in my Blogspot site...siguro naman di na both sites will shut down...backups of backups...
enjoy the test run...
ReplyDeletefor those who like to load photos though parang 200 mb per month lang ata ang limit...fuera lang if you pay for an upgrade :-)
Have you tried posting a video or an audio file?
ReplyDeletesa ipernity? not yet...
ReplyDeleteit was slow for me and my photo album earlier..so just stuck to it..
I haven't tried G+ also for video...I wonder if pwede a video in the middle of a blog sa Wordpress..hmmm
Looks like you need to be a paying member to be able to upload video and audio files. Otherwise, you can just post photos and do some blogging.
