  5. hi John,

Keep in touch...if you will be in FB let me know...otherwise, there's the email (will PM the email address to good folks here just to be safe)

  6. for people asking me about blogs, there are sites galore, but I was hoping for one which just doesn't have good blogging features (I used livejournal sporadically before, and then there's wordpress and others)...but would also have enjoyable ways of posting albums and sharing music and such.

    *sigh*

keep us posted here for whatever news you have, but I think we should start downloading whatever we need now from those we have posted before...

  7. I've opened a G + account as Alan Johnson my pic is one of me on Hokkaido in autumn.
    I'll never use FB.
    Hugs.

  8. Everything I have on Multiply is also on my PC and backed up on external HD so if they don't offer a good place to migrate to I'll just upload to wherever I may end up.

As it says on my page header "Looking for a new online Home"

  9. hmm...aside from FB, can anybody here share or recommend what they have found? perhaps we can still congregate there and be among familiar friends...

  10. I have one too..using my gmail account....hmm...but I've not explored it much..

I tried looking for Alan Johnson, but the pictures don't seem to be familiar....

  11. i've posted 2550 albums here in Multiply...i have a Flicker account drphilip@ flicker.com, but i only post photos as backup and i don't post every photo as i do here. i don't like the idea of paying premium or an annual fee so as to post more images & maintain the site.
i don't think i'll do FB, i've registered at DPP(Digital Photographers Phil) but i haven't posted a single picture yet! not too keen on planting my foot in unfamiliar territory. :)
So as they say "Bahala na"

  12. I never paid attention to it before. That is so sad. It is only in multiply where I have found meaningful friendships - which FB or other sites can provide. I don't think multiply will survive as an ecommerce site because they are counting on the bloggers as their customers.

  13. I feel so bad about this. How can I get in touch with my friends here? Facebook is too public for me.

  14. I've been restricting my albums and posts on FB..but not to alarm you Mommy Loy, I'm still uneasy maski naka "Friends Only" pa ang akong naka-checkbox ...

and I tried G+ pero pangit man interface pa niya as of now...and not conducive to blogging pod...

  15. same din tayo sa Flickr Doc Philip...and I don't know, parang ok sya nga as pang save ng photos but I just can't seem to find it conducive to the kind of interaction we have here in Multiply.

useless din pala nag Premium membership..i-refund nila..wala ring nagawa coz they have decided on this.

in B-school, on paper if this was a case study, it might indeed look logical to concentrate on the Marketplace...but in reality there's more to life than just numbers...

Friends I've met here have mostly moved to FB, but I just can't believe the numbers here are so low for other people who have made MP their home and comfort zone :-(

  16. I'm going to miss the music shared by friends here in Multiply...

so what in FB if may photos, mahirap mag blog don, and the playlists I'm listening to here in MP are superior...ay, mag-rant ako dito sa gilid muna...

  17. i don't think you get same quality of images as you do in Multiply...and i don't want to know what people are doing after lunch or learn how much they hate their in laws...gees FB? i don't think so.

  18. LOL...naku, bigla akong nag-raise ng "guilty" flag....hahaha...I post sometimes about what I'm having for lunch or dinner *wink*

true, lower ang quality ng photos when you post in FB..though may option yata on the kind you upload (if its the faster one, na pang-web, lower quality nga)...its really more for a quick and dirty letting people know whats up or happening...I don't expect (hence di ako maging disappointed) when the replies are not the meaningful ones which have contributed to the relationships formed here in MP...

  19. i remember when i was in FB, people would say i have a headache, i have to go here, do this...i would think that would be best suited for twitter?

    ReplyDelete
  20. yeah, pero kc yata sometimes may kasamang image..which you can't do for Twitter :-)

  21. http://webtrends.about.com/od/socialnetworking/a/social_network.htm

who has tried Xanga or mySpace?

the search goes on, though for now, some Multiply friends have directed (or in my case I've been added) to an FB group which comprised of people who are Multipliers...

  22. only if you allow others to intrude. don't just add anyone. you can always keep your page private. you can choose a number of friends to be friends with there in FB. i have a friend who has finally succumb to facebook BUT she only has 14 contacts. you can do the same if you like. please join us there MOMMY LOY!!!! (on bended knees)
