Hong Kong Holiday (2011)

Start:     Feb 17, '11 01:00a
End:     Feb 20, '11 12:45p
Location:     HongKong, China
My last visit to HK was last century :-)

That was so far back that HK was still under British rule...hahaha!

This is really sudden...I got a call from a colleague in HP this morning (I missed her call 3 times already). Liza asked if a trip to HK this February...say 2nd weekend or something would be ok.

A split-second decision had to be made, even if I've not asked permission to take days off or checking if I had backup (because my teammate is out on vacation till mid January anyways)...I said, fine, just tell me the dates and I'd file leaves *cross fingers*

and there you have it...
another case wherein I have the ticket (and a debt to them for paying it beforehand) and the trip's details to be ironed out later...what fun!

  1. the funny thing is that last year, I was planning to go to HK to buy the LX5...but I have it now...hahaha...so I guess this means not much shopping for me, unless I get an iphone or some other gadget like a Netbook or something...

  2. how could anyone say no! i love HK...even if its a daily dose of roast pork/duck or goose! never mind the shopping, just walking & getting 'lost' is great...but if you do want shopping go to the very end of one line of MTR...Tung Chung Station...you will find Outlet Stores there!

hey, any tips for the not-so-usual spots? I've been in HK a couple of times before in the 1990s and well...I was really hoping to go to Macau, but w/ the group I will be going in, they might be more inclined to shop...hahaha!

  12. i am not a choosy eater in terms of where to eat...as long as i know what i want...you will never make a poor choice if you eat at any Food Court...it's difficult to enter a resto, and order, you'd be lucky to find one who can speak English...if you need directions, ask school kids, they understand English...oh and of course our kababayans who are practically everywhere.

  21. hi Meann,

next week kc eh full blast na Sinulog dito sa Cebu :-) in fact this Saturday I bet mga schools will be having their troupes dance on the streets na...

I have no idea on the accommodations or other details, coz inuna ang ticket..hehehe!

I would prefer though to stay in HK side like before (last yata was sa North Point), (unless things change) its cheaper there and near to markets...

    oist..pasalubong from HK? *wink*
