Is it just a matter of timing? The Azkals went to Japan and also to Myanmar - and both had earthquakes. Ah, eh....cge, diyan muna kayo ha! (just stay there).. ((((((^_^;)
Just an obeservation: bakit maraming members ng Azkals mga taga Europe? May dugong Pinoy nga sila pero hindi naman talaga taga jan. Wala bang magagaling na soccer players jan? Kelangan ba talagang mag import pa ng European players? Why don't we give a break to our own LOCAL players and give them a chance to compete internationally? Para sa akin, maski matalo basta lahat taga jan, OK lang. Tunay na Pinoy talaga.
I wish I could help shed light on this BNK, but I don't actually follow the Azkals...
in fact, I don't follow basketball too (where you have probably heard may mga "imports" before, referring to the imported players from abroad na matangkad kaysa mga medyo height-challenged, as it pertains to basketball, na mga Pinoy *grin*).
Maski nung anjan ako, I was never a fan of basketball. Para sa akin, hindi larong Pinoy ang basketball kasi hindi naman tayo matatangkad. Football (soccer) is the right game for Pinoys kasi hindi kelangan ang height.
Hehehe...you're reading too much science fiction, Cat.
ReplyDeleteUpdate lang: Azkals, the Philippine football team, has qualified for the AFC Challenge Cup with a 3-0 win over Bangladesh - http://sports.inquirer.net/breakingnews/breakingnews/view/20110325-327604/Azkals-blank-Bangladesh-qualify-for-AFC-Cup
ReplyDeleteok, I hope Bangladesh is not prone to earthquakes..or else..am beginning to believe in sci-fi :-)
