Process is good, but honestly! people need to think beyond them.... I went to the bank, and had to transfer funds from my peso account to an officemate's peso account, as payment for funds I had had to borrow from her when on a trip. Imagine my surprise when I was told that the next time, I would be charged (oh, how nice, I was let off this time! *charming grin*), because any funds withdrawn over the counter if below Php 20K are "encouraged" (I use that word instead of how it was really said) to be done through ATM. Whatever for, when it was easier to just fill up the withdrawal and deposit slip as it was basically a "transfer of funds" - the money is still going to reside with them! Isn't it more convenient for the customer to do it this way instead of going the roundabout path of going to the ATM, punching, withdrawing, counting, queueing etc.? Whether its 4K, 15K, 20K or 50K being moved from one account to another, it can be done thru electronic transactions..so WTH? *grrr*

  2. sometimes I think its not true that banks are thinking of customer service...more like thinking of ways to make their lives easier...

remember the times when we were happy and intrigued with the idea of banks being in a network and you could just inquire or withdraw?
then later may service fee this kind of transaction for withdrawals...

still later, even just an inquiry may service fee...
and now, its our money, may service fee...

oh yeah, and I recall the days, my savings account had no tax :-)
even the dollar account at that time walang tax...

    then everything changed...hayzzz again!

  3. i can understand..its not like they had to physically transfer it..and to think, its OUR money, which THEY earn interest from for keeping for us..

  4. you know, if they had a way to enable me to transfer those funds using the ATM, I'd gladly do it....or if sa kanilang website pa...pero for now, how is this kind of logic called customer service?

funny thing is, once before, I tried doing it in another bank (not the same bank "brand"), at that time, I had to transfer funds from one of my accounts to a another account (na may higher interest)....it was the teller who told me I did not need to physically go and get the money, but just fill out the forms...

  6. if i am not mistaken, sa BPI ka ba galit? or Metrobank? though at one point, Metrobank was helpful to me. BDO though is the best so far as i use them now for almost everything i need..

  7. sa BPI for this post (di ko pa nireklamo sa manager na kilala ko don kc April 1 ngayon hehe).

I like their online banking, usually di na talaga ako pumupunta sa bank nila these days except for the now-and-thens.

Metrobank - medyo may slowness din, pero *sigh* cge na lang...di rin ako impressed sa kanilang type of online banking..

BDO is ok though I haven't tried any of their other services for online banking...I just bank w/ them kc open sila sa Sat/Sun don sa location where I first opened..also naging don na rin napunta kc ang bayad ng Amex eh...digressing..natuwa naman ako they took over sa Amex na branch dito malapit sa GB1..so mas malapit na ako sa kanila...

anyways, am I glad I'm not working in a bank anymore......
