Thanks to Mommy Loy's gift of humongous bananas (saging), I'm now having sinugbang saging (grilled), linung-ag nga saging (boiled) and minatamis (simple syrup) paired with sinugbang (grilled) potpot (akong favorite nga dried fish) prior to lunch!

  2. Bananas are good for you. I miss the turon in UP, banana-Q too. Did you know that there's a name here for westernized Chinese? They're called bananas - yellow on the outside and white inside.

  3. I haven't had grilled saba for a very very long time now. Miss that. My favorite always is banana cue, lalo na kung maligat-ligat. Ang sarap naman combined with your daing - kulang na lang rice sa akin.

  4. interesting...something similar to the sweets in Spain which funnily was greeted with outrage...

Filipinos is a brand of dark chocolate biscuits sold in Spain (made by Kraft if I recall correctly)...e may nag complain kc parang ang sabi ay dark on the outside, white on the inside..hinting on how the Pinoys really are..

oh well...whatevah! basta kainin if masarap!

  5. Tita Lou,

kapag banana cue, ang peyborit ko is yung nag harden na brown sugar sa surface ng bananas sa banana cue...forming those nice dark slivers ...*dinila-an ang saging*
