For those seeking JPY currency to bring on your Japan trip (from here in the Philippines) while its true that you can get these at particular BPI branches (main in Ayala and Legaspi St branch here in Makati), please be advised you can also try Sanry's (in Greenbelt 1) and Czarina (Ayala office).

  1. BPI will always have the currency on hand that is the good thing about it (limit is 200K JPY that you can get w/out reservation)..but it may be at a higher rate than how you would get it from some other forex currency counters.

So far, the problem w/ Czarina is that JPY not always available in quantities you might ask for.

Sanry's I found out recently also deals in JPY..last time I asked a their old branch was that they didn't sell JPY but they do now..rate for selling it so far was lower than the banks I asked.

  3. hi Chelo,

JPY to PESO is easy, even if walang converter, roughly i-half mo sya...so mga Php 100,000

if I check some sites, it will be Php 106,270

kc rates ngayon is falling around 0.54 or 0.53 for every Phil peso
