  2. this is great..napansin ko, when I'm logged with my old site, I get a better connection..baka dahil sa new site motif ko..:)

though there are lots of government flaws that I hear..this is something I hope they would really strengthen..the Barangays and youth involvement..

how true is this news that if someone couldn't recite perfectly the Phil. National Anthem you'd get a high fine? where would the people get such an amount..??
    any idea Cuh?

  3. baka nga sa theme Nonzki....yung din problem ni Chiara with my old site theme eh..though other people I knew (who had probably better pc configuration or connections) didn't have the same problem...

I'm not sure how true it is about that having a high fine if one couldn't recite the National Anthem...
are they trying to copy Singapore? maraming fines?

ehehe...matanong nga si Tochie for that...

  4. Hi Nons/Cat. There is a specific law that provides for the proper singing of the National Anthem (in the same way that there is a prescribed proper way to display the National Flag). But the trouble with these laws is not only how the fines will be afforded by the violator but on who will enforce them.

How we sing the Anthem and how we show respect to the Flag, including how to recite the Panatang Makabayan, are being taught to all Filipinos as early as in grade school. Sa school pag nagloko ka sa pagkanta, kurot aabutin mo or at the most, reflected ito sa Good Manners and Right Conduct (GM&RC) subject. Pero once they become adults, nakakalimutan na ang mga ito.

But on a deeper sense, however, singing the Anthem properly and/or displaying the Flag correctly is not the true measure of patriotism or nationalism. There is a long discussion on this but for now I think you get my drift.

  5. that just reminds me...that here in the Philippines its not the dearth of laws ...its more of implementation/execution/control/monitoring..

its easy to talk the talk...but to do it nga is another matter...
