Arrived in Okayama, Japan but ran off to Kurashiki after dumping my things at the ryokan - thanks to the local train which has frequent runs. Kurashiki is a very pretty "market town" with lots of shops congregating around the "canal". Lots of museums and artists dotting around the center - drawing or doing something "art-like". A sight and site for camera buffs :-)

  1. hi Tochie...thank goodness ok naman...

I guess Takayama and Kanazawa are prone to that kind of weather but from Nagoya yesterday to here it was sunny....though still cold sometimes.

Its only when I puff up stairs or run to the train platform or station that I really perspire even if its cold weather...siguro sanayan dito..e may naka shorts pa nga w/ stockings lang...

  2. Yes, I suppose so. Pero it could take while para ma-acclimatize tayo.

  5. depende nga siguro...I actually really sweated a lot and was looking askance at the coat I had...

I was only grateful for it in Takayama..where w/ my ironical life, iniwan ko inner lining nya sa ryokan habang umikot ako...

most of the time, w/ all my walking and running around w/ my luggage, medyo ok naman w/ only the thin outer layer...though I guess its really when the wind blows na don ka mag-shiver...

I recommend a good windbreaker - light, manipis, but it ought to keep the cold out w/out all the bulk...
