nice, am thinking if I should still visit Kamakura later..or yun na...leaves were nicely colored..didn't even visit (or get inside) all the attractions..basta nakita ko na sa labas :-)
ay nako sister, if sama ka matawa ka sa mga adventures natin...
earlier today, I finally got a little more worried than usual...
for the first time, the train I transferred to got delayed...the lucky part was that it was in the train going to Kanazawa already.
imagine if it was the first train I took before I made transfer to shinkansen *shudders, perish the thought*
grabe kanina...I had I think less than 10 minutes to make the transfer to the other train..and it was on another platform on the other side pala! lucky a train official was passing by, so I hurriedly asked him to confirm platform and where it was, he pointed to another building..waaaah! the lucky part was that if I had not spotted him, I would not have spotted the elevator...it would have been another flight of stairs... I still thank the good Lord for the lucky breaks.
the trouble I had w/ trains in this journey was more to do w/ my not being able to be lucky w/ the trains in Tokyo ..... I am deeply embarassed, twice na kami ni Ted di nagkakita talaga..and he waited for me for a long time don pa sa Gotanda...tokwa...I got on the train going the other way (kc loop e sabi platform 1...hay nakupo).
anyway, still having fun...I only wish I could spend 2 days per area I am in ..ang ganda ng Kanazawa...weather unpredictable...pero the good news, may payong na ako..hahaha!
unfortunately, di ko alam na dapat pala gamitin ko payong even if di umulan...langhiyang crow or raven na yon....
imagine ha..me walking Kanazawa on this well-lighted but deserted path...near the castle...sometimes may nag-pass by...tapos yung isang guy nag-umbrella... isip ang pusa - hmm.its not raining, and its already dark ...
2 minutes later..ayos...alam ko na kung bakit dapat nagpayong ako sa gabi...mwahaha!
mwahaha...*adventures of the bedraggled cat in Japan* I can see it now..
really lots of nice things to eat and see here..pero nag-siopao and bread diet ako kc some places I stay in cash lang (ergh) so eto...staying away from 2K JPY and up na kain (per meal hehehe)....
I almost did use the coin laundry..pero umulan dito...so ayon...don ako sa washbasin na common nag laundry on the spot..hehehe...
there were so many crows here...its like ants...I got weirded out actually earlier..my imagination was running wild... lighted but deserted path, crickets chirping, numerous crows flying around na parang vultures...may nag bicycle sometimes dumadaan or naglalakad...tapos almost 6 pm na to pero it gets dark here early and I was trying to find my way back to the ryokan am staying by approximation...
e alam mo naman ako, movie ang isip..nagka 10 scenarios na ako when it happened...phooot! from the crow...grrrr...
and to be so considerate, ginawa pa ng langhiyang crow na yon...na malapit na ako sa public toilet hehehe..just 15 seconds from where I got the splunked...oh di ba, ang bait?
I think this trip has its good and bad percentages, but mostly good of course..hehee...cge na nga..esp w/ the saints...
w/ a trip na ganito, its difficult to say everything will be perfect because there is a lot I have not tried out yet...even w/ research, parang trial and error din the other parts..
so far, w/ every goal I:ve had in visiting a place, isa lang ang bigo....but most are happening..so I:m happy..
besides, I:ve encountered unexpected kindnesses along the way - the businessman who helped me out of the blue in toting up one end of my luggage when I was on a steep flight of stairs, the lady and her child who guided me on to the right train while in Hakone (ah yes, I jumped on the train going the other way...and noticed after 15 minutes wala pa ako sa destination ko..hehehe), others, and most recent kanina was the woman who out of the blue also told me to get inside the museum for a quick peek even if closing time na ...siguro awa sya sa hitsura ko..hehehe...pero medyo nerbiyos din ako coz she said she was worried about me, being alone here and traveling...(generally I don:t volunteer that info malay may stalker) but I feel a little safer in Japan...not that it doesn:t have its share of the other side of the coin...
The saints come in different forms, even contemporary forms. Akala mo ba ang mga Saints laging naka veil at mahabang damit at laging naka-luhod? They live on the spiritual ARK. That's why they do this for you - Acts of Random Kindness!
anyway, I must have done something good siguro in my youth or childhood (parang kanta yata sa Sound of Music ah)....I know God and his coven (shempre kasama friends here on earth) are watching over me...
amazed lang ako sa laki ng patak eh...I was subconsciously half-prepared for it na siguro, kc di ba, pati nga sa churches, ganon din...daming patak sa pews namin sa Redemptorist Church before sa Cebu...galing sa maya pa yon ha..
Best place we've been to.
